GENERAL DIRECTORIES


Directories are useful in finding the residences and workplaces of people particularly if they live in cities and towns. They may also give occupations. Some may also include separate sections in which residents, businesses or public buildings are listed by street.

The State Library of Victoria holds many directories and telephone directories for Victoria. Many directories have been microfilmed or put on microfiche and these can be seen at the State Library of Victoria and local libraries.
