These are provided in association with State Records Authority of NSW. This collection consists of school education records for New South Wales. It includes teacher applications, school admission registers and records, and various letters received by the National Board of Education and Council of Education. They may be browsed and they are searchable.

VICTORIAN PARLIAMENTARY PAPERS DATABASE - REPORTS OF THE MINISTER OF PUBLIC INSTRUCTION 1881-1885

Teacher registers are included in the appendices of the Reports of the Minister of Public Instruction. See Parliaments.

 

VICTORIAN GOVERNMENT GAZETTES - TEACHER REGISTERS 1885-1905

Teacher registers were printed in the Victorian government gazettes. See Government Gazettes.

 

VICTORIAN EDUCATION GAZETTE AND TEACHERS' AID 1905-1992 - TEACHER REGISTERS

Teacher registers can be seen in the Victorian education gazette and teachers' aid from 1905 to 1992. These are held by the State Library of Victoria and Public Record Office Victoria. They are not online.

 

FINDMYPAST - EDUCATION DEPARTMENT WAR SERVICE

This includes short biographies and photographs of most of the 724 teachers who served in World War 1. Also mentions teachers whose sons or brothers died on service as well as those who volunteered and were rejected (mostly on medical grounds).
